Polyester strapping is used as anti-theft protection and also to help secure goods on pallets to keep them stable for transit, thereby helping to reduce movement and damage. Polyester strapping (PET) is perfect for heavy-weight goods. It offers better mechanical properties than steel bands and less damage to the pack and pallet, and therefore a greater transportation performance.
Polyester strapping has a higher elastic memory so does not stretch like polypropylene giving a tighter, more stable load-holding ability for pallets in transit.
Available with a breaking point up to 401kg, it delivers great flexibility and durability, for use in all warehouse and packing environments. Polyester strapping band can be used in hand, semi-automated and automated strapping systems and is sealed using self-locking buckles and security seals. For hand application strapping is usually 12-16mm wide, from a plastic spool or reel, and for machine application it is usually 5-9mm wide with a cardboard core.
